Unless you are a local, it may be difficult to find the location. The building is a little beat up, and the only signage is a mural painted on the side of the building. It is however a welcoming entrance with picnic benches outside.

GREETING

The workers of Ed's deli are prompt and courteous. During business hours, there are on average approximately 3-5 customers ordering. During peak lunch hours, it is standing room only. Its a quick 'in-and-out' transition.... No animal style!

ATMOSPHERE

Ed's Deli is pro local business. You will see a collage of business cards covering a majority of the walls, local memorabilia and news paper clippings as well. There are just a few tables if you choose to stay and eat, although most of their business is take out.

OVERALL MENU

The menu is plain and simple. Basic sandwiches that everyone enjoys, with fresh ingredients. The bread is locally made, daily. The only downside- when they run out of bread, they close for the day! A variety of chips and drinks are available as well. Prices range from $3- $6 a sandwich. Extremely reasonable. Portions sizes are extremely generous. If you normally order a 12' submarine sandwich, think again! Any 6' sub is sure to curb any deli goers appetite! But don't hesitate! That other 6' will come in handy late ;)

SERVICE
Rating: 4.5

After becoming a regular customer, they will learn your name and preference and greet you accordingly. The sandwiches are always promptly made. Each wrapped with napkins and a paper plate. If you call and order before a certain time you may order for delivery at no extra charge.

We have never had a bad sandwich from Ed's Deli. Consistency is their best ingredient. The tuna is my favorite, but any sandwich you of your liking is sure to please! They offer a fresh made pepper spread if you like a little kick to your sandwich! Everything is fresh, and even good the next day if you don't finish it!

With a delicious sandwich, at a reasonable price, why wouldn't you be satisfied? They tell you 'Thanks' and know you will be back! Ed's Deli only takes cash or check so be prepared!

We still will go back to Ed's on a continuous basis. We have been to many different sandwich shops, and no one will compare to this one! Be sure to call ahead and make sure they still have bread!

Clean, easily accessible, and well manicured. The sign is slightly hidden, and hard to read with the dark background. Not sure if the sign is a Marquee style.

GREETING

Hostess did not introduce herself or the establishment, so its clear there was no warm welcoming, loosely directed us to sit where ever we would like.

ATMOSPHERE
Rating: 3

When walking in, there is a nice lounge to the left with couches and a TV playing Sports Center. Booths and high tops to your left. We enjoyed the local news paper clippings under the glass top of the tables, but did not understand why there were clippings of mishaps and unfortunate accidents. Wouldn't you want to showcase positive and uplifting events in town? Towards the back of the establishment was a bar serving alcohol and to go food, along with a nice open patio.

OVERALL MENU

All items on the menu are pretty healthy. Salads, pita wraps, and few appetizers. Some items on the menu had locally inspired dish titles. All items on the menu range in price from $5-$8.

SERVICE

When the server came to take our drink orders she was prompt, but it didn't go any further than that. When taking our food order, she interrupted us to grab a pen. We understand that happens, but this was a simple order. Two pitas and two sides. Even after she got her pen, she had to double check on the menu what it was that we were ordering. When our food was brought out to us, napkins and silverware were thrown on the table. Never asked how our food was, and our drinks were neglected.

TASTE

Portion size perfect for lunch. Make sure you keep the paper wrapped around your pita as you eat it! Super flavorful, but not all items on the menu have too much character to them. All items have fresh ingredients, and you don't leave with heavy stomach.

CLOSING

Not only were we never checked on and our drinks never filled, but the check was dropped off at our table assuming we didn't want to order anything more. No last fill on the drinks, no offer for desert, not a goodbye. No "thank you". Nothing. Needless to say, on a $19 and some change ticket- only $3 tip.

Next time we will be ordering to go, a nice park bench seems to accommodate this meal much better.
